It all dates back to the early Eighties, when Antonio, father of the current owners and  a carpenter by profession, decided to develop a plot of land inherited from his father, Leonardo. A passion for cooking, and the inspired idea that the beauty of this coastline could capture the favors of tourists did the rest.

In 1982 he opened Lo Scoglio, a restaurant built after the construction of six apartments, now part of the residence. In its early days, the family outsourced the management of the restaurant. Later on, in 1988, the enthusiasm and the stubbornness of Leonardo, current owner of the hotel, persuaded Antonio to take up the reins of the establishment. From that moment on, Lo Scoglio has been part of the family business and provided the right motivation  to embark upon the adventure culminated in the creation of Hotel Residence La Baia.

The hotel was inaugurated  in 1999, with twenty-four rooms and a swimming-pool.  Profits were constantly reinvested to improve the structure: twelve new rooms and the sporting centre in 2006 followed by the complete renovation of the restaurant and the installation of the panoramic lift in 2010.
Our values and our management style are still the same: we are a family-run business, always focused on customer service, always committed to excellence. Even our personnel is the same, tight-knit, affectionate and fond of this land. The result is a warm, friendly atmosphere.
